Dr. Megan Zarnick

Dr. Megan always knew she was meant for a career in healthcare, but it wasn’t until the opioid crisis hit close to home that she discovered her passion for holistic, patient-centered care.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Oakland University, majoring in Health Sciences with a concentration in Integrative Holistic Medicine. It was there that she was first introduced to chiropractic and quickly fell in love with its natural, whole-body approach. She went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Florida, graduating in 2019.

While at Palmer, Dr. Megan was actively involved in clubs and seminars to refine her techniques and elevate the level of care she could provide. She was also nominated for both the Dr. James Buerkle Memorial Award and the Clinical Excellence Award, recognizing her dedication to outstanding patient care and clinical performance.

During her final quarter, Dr. Megan completed her internship in Traverse City—an experience that ultimately changed the course of her life. She and her husband fell in love with Northern Michigan and made the decision to plant roots in the community they now proudly call home.

After beginning her career in 2019 and navigating the challenges of practicing through the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Megan connected with Dr. Darren. Their shared philosophy, passion for chiropractic, and vision for patient care led her to join Gateway Family Chiropractic in 2021.

Now, five years later, Dr. Megan is proud to serve as the owner of Gateway Chiropractic, continuing to build on the strong foundation of the practice while leading it into the future. She remains deeply committed to providing high-quality, individualized care to the community she lives in and loves.

Outside of the office, Dr. Megan embraces everything Northern Michigan has to offer. She enjoys hiking, water and winter sports, and exploring local breweries. She and her husband welcomed their son, Finley, in December 2025, and share their home with their four dogs: Ellie, Budder, Peaches, and Pepper.
